How does the Wounds Canada Institute (WCI) develop their education material?
The Wounds Canada team envisioned a learning platform that would offer all health-care professionals flexible, interprofessional education that would support their learning needs and the development of their professional career. As a result, we developed educational content reviewed by multiple national and international wound care experts. Furthermore, we offer programs suitable for all types of health professionals.
Are any aspects of the WCI content funded by third-party organizations or corporations?
No. The WCI does not accept third-party funding to support or develop its programs. The content does not promote any brands or commercial names.

There are courses within your programs, can I simply take one single course?
No. You must register for a program. Note: Some programs have pre-requisites.
Does the WCI function with traditional semesters (September, January, May)?
No, at the WCI you can start an online program at anytime, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The exceptions are the webinars and skills labs, which are scheduled.
How long do I have to complete a program?
You have 24 months from the time of registration to complete a program.
What happens if I do not pass the final exam?
If you do not pass a final evaluation, don’t worry! You simply need to review the program content and try again.
Will I receive a certificate of completion?
Yes, you will receive a certificate after successfully completing an entire program.
Do you offer group discounts?
Yes, we offer multiple options for large groups of students from one single organization. Please contact us for details.
Do you offer live training for large groups?
Absolutely! If you have 50 or more students, we can provide on-site education. Please contact us for details.
Registration
How do I create a user account?
To create a new account, simply click the "register" button at the top of the page and fill out the required fields. Note: if you already have a Wounds Canada account or Diabetes, Healthy Feet and You account, your username and password will provide access to WCI.
How do I register for a program?

How do I reset my password?
If you have forgotten your username or password, click here and select an option under the green log in button.
What are the tuition fees?

What is your refund policy? How do I withdraw from a program?
Do you need to cancel your registration? No problem! The deadline for cancellations is 30 calendar days after your payment is made, provided you have not accessed any of the components of the program (online modules, skills labs, webinars). All cancellations must be received in writing (mailed or e-mailed), and postmarked by that date. Full registration will be refunded, minus a 25% processing fee.
