What is a Regulated Health-Care Provider
A regulated health professional is an individual who is licensed, certified or otherwise authorized by a regulatory body within a specific jurisdiction to practise a health profession.
For example, in Ontario, there are 26 regulated health professions, each with their own profession-specific legislation. These include, but are not limited to, medicine, nursing, chiropody and podiatry, kinesiology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, chiropractic, naturopathy, midwifery, dentistry, dietetics, homeopathy.
