Wounds Canada is recommending that all governments across the country make wound prevention and care a priority. Our detailed policy recommendations are evidence-based and informed by best practices, and have been shared with elected officials across Canada.
Our advocacy efforts began in Ontario where, with other non-profit health organizations, we secured funding for offloading devices to treat diabetic foot ulcers. We are actively expanding our advocacy efforts to the federal
government and other provincial governments across the country, working with both elected officials and civil servants.
