This educational event is aimed at nurse practitioners, physicians, chiropodists/podiatrists and pharmacists who self-identify as competent in their knowledge of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) prevention, assessment and management. The event provides students with the most recent information in a form they can use immediately. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate of attendance.

Target Competencies:
- At the end of this educational event, students will be able to:
- Complete the components of a comprehensive assessment of a person with or at risk for PAD
- Discuss risk factors that contribute to the development of PAD and identify how the pathology of PAD impacts the health of a person
- Create agreed-upon goals of care with people with diabetes who have or who are at risk for a foot complication
- Assemble an integrated team
- Develop, implement, and evaluate an individual-specific plan of care to manage and prevent diabetic foot complications
- Identify organizational changes that can support risk reduction of diabetic foot complications and amputation prevention
